In October 2016, in order to implement the framework agreement  "Intelligent transportation application demonstration of 5G C/AV and C-ITS pilot project" signed by MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) and Province Hebei&Beijing, in accordance with the innovative main mode of the emerging industry, under the guidance of Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, China Transinfo Technology Co. led a number of leading enterprises in Automobile, IT, Internet and Transportation jointly funded the establishment of Beijing Innovation Center for Mobility Intelligent (BICMI) Co., Ltd. to support the construction, management and operation of the National C/AV and C-ITS demonstrative Pilot Zone. Beijing Innovation Center for Mobility Intelligent (BICMI) was awarded as Municipal Innovation Center with the permission of autonomous driving test and autonomous driving service in Beijing. On March 15, 2018, BICMI was officially authorized as a third-party service agency for Beijing Autopilot Vehicle Road Testing. The BICMI is positioned to build a world-class platform for R&D testing, experimental verification, and testing and evaluation of technologies and equipment of autonomous driving and Internet of vehicles.
